Welcome to the Privacy Policy for exSKEWSme Bias Detector, a Chrome extension and associated service provided by exSKEWSme (operated at deskewed.com). This policy explains how we handle data when you use our extension and API.

The exSKEWSme Bias Detector extension:

Collects text content from webpages you analyze to assess bias, using the 'activeTab' permission.
Records your interactions (e.g., button clicks) to enable functionality, using the 'scripting' permission.
Stores analysis results and complaint drafts locally on your device via the 'storage' permission, which is not shared with us.

No personal information (e.g., name, email, or IP address) is collected or stored.

Use of Data

The collected text is sent to our custom API (https://deskewed.replit.app/api/) to perform bias analysis and generate complaint letters. This data is processed solely for these purposes and is not retained or shared with third parties.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API. The API does not store any data after processing. We do not have access to your local storage or processed data.

External Code

The extension uses a custom API hosted on Replit, developed by us for this extension. No third-party code or services are involved.

Your Choices

You can disable the extension or clear local data via Chrome's extension settings at any time.
